Stevan Jovetic is on the verge of Manchester City exit

Inter Milan have agreed a fee with City which is in the region of £10m.

Liverpool were thought to be tracking the striker but it seems Inter have got in there ahead of the Reds and Jovetic seems happy to make the move to Milan.

City signed the striker two years ago from Inter‘s Serie A rivals Fiorentina for a fee of around £22m.

Ever since arriving, the 25-year-old has never really hit top form or had a long spell of full fitness, scoring 11 times in his 39 City appearances.

The end of the road for the Citizens and Jovetic seemed to begin in January when they brought in Wilfried Bony, and then decided to drop Jovetic from the Champions League squad, to replace him with Bony.

A replacement

If the deal goes ahead, Manuel Pelligrini will no doubt want a replacement, with Raheem Sterling being the most likely current option.

There was initial talk of a swap deal which included Jovetic and Sterling but that never seemed to lift off.

Since, City have put an end to any talk of a swap deal for Sterling which included Edin Dzeko or Samir Nasri.
