Winger’s agent has contacted Spanish giants regarding transfer

Chelsea outcast Juan Cuadrado could be set for an astonishing transfer to FC Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.

The Colombian international is currently out on loan with Serie A champions Juventus, but according to Spanish reports, his agent has made contact with Barca regarding a potential permanent switch in the summer.

Cuadrado failed to settle in the Premier League with Chelsea, following his move from Fiorentina, and he was almost immediately shipped back to Italy on a loan deal with The Old Lady.

Juve and Chelsea are still in negotiations regarding a permanent switch for the winger, but those talks could now be further delayed due to Barca’s reported interest.

Cuadrado’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, has made contact with the La Liga giants, who were reportedly keen on signing him before he initially moved to Chelsea.

It’s expected that the winger will be out of Chelsea over the summer, but after the latest reports, it’s not clear where he will end up, but he himself has hinted at staying put in Italy.

Cuadrado Happy in Italy

“The idea of coming back to Italy attracted me a lot. I know the football here, I know the language and the people, and the truth is it feels like my second home,” he told UEFA.com.

“So when I had to decide about whether to take this chance or not, I talked to my agent every day about my return and now I am very happy to be here at Juventus.”
