The Blues are set to trigger the player’s ÂŁ26.8m release clause

Juan Cuadrado’s agent is flying to London ahead of a proposed move to Chelsea. The Blues are reportedly very close to completing a deal for the Fiorentina star, after having a keen interest in the player for quite some time.

Jose Mourinho tried to sign the player back in the summer but failed to do so. Now he is pulling out all the stops to get a deal done this month.

Cuadrado’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, is currently headed to Stamford Bridge to begin talks, with Chelsea reportedly willing to trigger the ÂŁ26.8m buy-out clause in the Colombia international’s contract.

The Blues are even willing to sell Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle to help fund any move for the 26-year old and it looks increasingly likely that a deal could soon be done to send Cuadrado to the Premier League.
