Manchester United midfielder, Juan Mata, has confirmed that Anderson will be leaving the club after bidding him farewell on his own personal blog.
The Brazilian has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since his mega-£20million move back in 2007, and despite being put up for sale over the Summer, no club wanted to sign him on a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old spent most of last season on loan in Italy with Fiorentina, but then returned to Manchester at the end of the season with the Serie A side not willing to make it a permanent deal.
Anderson has played just 20-minutes this season under Louis Van Gaal, and Mata has confirmed that he will be leaving the club and returning to his homeland.
The Spaniard wrote: “I want to wish good luck to my friend Anderson, who is back to football in his native Brazil. All the best, my friend!”
It’s likely that the Brazilian will sign a five-year deal with Internacional.
