Star confirms he wants to leave Wolfsburg
Julian Draxler has confirmed he wants to leave Wolfsburg in the next transfer window, putting a list of Premier League clubs on red-alert.
The midfielder was booed by his own fans on Saturday when he was brought on as sub during the team’s 3-2 loss to Hertha Berlin.
Following that, as reported by the Daily Mirror, Draxler admitted he wanted to leave the club.
The German said: “I don’t think I need to tell anybody what [being booed] does to a person – it certainly doesn’t help you.
“There’s no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field.
“I can understand the fans, though. They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that.”
Draxler revealed during the summer that he wanted to leave Wolfsburg straight away, but the club blocked an immediate departure.
