Arsenal Football Club are in advanced talks with German side Schalke regarding the future of attacking-midfielder Julian Draxler.
The Gunners have been closely monitoring the 20-year-old all month, but have been put off making a formal bid due to the Bundesliga outfit refusing to sell this month and would rather listen to offers in the Summer.
However, reports are suggesting that officials from both camps are discussing a potential move and it could be finalised by the end of this month after all.
It is believed that Arsenal are prepared to pay just under £30million, but Schalke are holding out for around £35million, which could produce a stumbling block in the deal, however, Arsenal are willing to pay some add-ons which will likely raise the fee in the future.
Draxler has made it clear to both clubs that he wants to complete the move to Arsenal, which will see him join countrymen Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Serge Gnabry, and both clubs are ensuring that the best deal is made for both parties.
