Playmaker still on Arsenal’s radar

The agent of Arsenal target Julian Draxler has admitted that his client will leave current club Wolfsburg before next season.

The German international tried to force a move away from the German side this summer, with Juventus and PSG both thought to be interested, along with Arsenal and other Premier League teams, who have been linked with him for several years.

It remains to be seen if Arsenal will revive their interest in the 23-year-old, who was said to have a value of around £50million when the Gunners last showed an interest while the player was at Schalke.

‘(Juventus boss) Max Allegri had spoken to Draxler, they were in sync and there was an immediate rapport between them,’ Draxler’s agent, Fabio Parisi told Tuttosport.

‘Wolfsburg have strong owners, but unfortunately for the German fans, everyone wants to leave there. Over the summer Draxler was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, who had offered nearly €65m (£59m).

‘He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri.

‘I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter.’
