Jurgen Klopp banned for Arsenal game

Borussia Dortmund manaer Jugren Klopp will have to watch his side’s Champions League match with Arsenal from the stands, after his touchline ban was extended by UEFA.

The Dortmund coach was sent off two weeks ago during his side’s 2-0 defeat to Napoli after he angrily confronted the fourth official on the touchline.

Klopp was not pleased with several decisions during the game and eventually he snapped. He got right into the face of the referee and started yelling at him, which eventually resulted in him getting sent off.

Originally, UEFA gave him a one-game touchline ban, which he served on Tuesday night during his side’s 3-0 win over Marseille, but his ban has now been extended and he will now be in the stands for the crucial game with Arsenal.

“This decision can be appealed. Borussia Dortmund are currently considering whether to go down that route,” a Dortmund statement said.
