Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes that Mohamed Salah is much better this season compared to last season. Last season, Salah scored 32 goals from 36 matches in the Premier League. And Klopp feels that Salah’s two goals in three matches gives the hint that he can do better this season.
Klopp said, “Mo is a very smart person. He’s not thinking about the end of last season, he knows our game here, he knows he had no number in his mind or thought, ‘Okay, let me score a new record’. It was only ever, ‘Let’s score goals, let’s play football’. And to me he looks he is exactly in that mood again, only with more confidence because now he knows it’s possible.
He’s not a kid any more and he doesn’t expect that everything will be like this all the time. If it is not like that any more, then he will dig deep. He is completely settled.”
Liverpool take on Leicester City today.
