Jurgen Klopp believes Manchester City have become the biggest force in the world football and they need to get the better of them if they want to dethrone them from the title challenge.
Liverpool set to take on Pep Guardiola’s side what is believed to be a crucial juncture in the title race. Both the teams are currently on equal points but City topping the table with a superior goal difference.
Looking at their recent encounters the Reds do hold an edge in this tie but the Sky Blues seem to be in a rampaging mood this season and it remains to be seen whether they would be able to better their records against them or not.
Klopp said, “They are so strong. This team together with the club, the money they have and this manager is exceptional.
“It is a good match, a good combination.
“It makes them the biggest force at the moment – together with PSG – in world football.
“We have to battle and fight with them for different things in the league and maybe in the Champions League at one point if it comes to that again.”
“I turned to [Chelsea boss] Maurizio Sarri and I was smiling and he looked at me like, ‘You enjoyed that’. Yes, actually I do. This was a very good game and the City games (have been) very good games.”
