Jurgen Klopp has provided update on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita injury situations.

He is hopeful that they can be a part of the squad for Liverpool’s clash against Newcastle United.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he is hopeful Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita will be available for their next match against Newcastle United. The Reds are currently four points clear of second-placed Manchester City and are sitting pretty at the top of the table in the Premier League and would look to continue their dominance with a positive result against the Magpies in their next match.

Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference at Melwood, the German gaffer said, “Trent is back in training, in full training. We will see.”

He added, “Nothing new [on Keita] because it is pretty early, [but] nobody said to me so far he cannot train. I expect him back in training.”

Liverpool have been hit by a number of injury worries so far this season, as defenders, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip remain sidelined with injuries alongside Naby Keita and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who are recovering from respective injuries as well. The Reds have made a strong bid to dethrone the reigning champions Manchester City and bring the Premier League trophy to Anfield this season as they go into their 19th match of the season against Newcastle United, being the only side in the Premier League this season to remain unbeaten.
