Speculation in Germany suggests the Borussia Dortmund man wants Anfield

Jurgen Klopp is rumoured to want to become Liverpool’s next manager and will put his plans for a 6 month break on hold if they come calling.

Klopp will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer when his contract expires and it was thought that he would be taking a break away from football before deciding on any future clubs, but heavy speculation in Germany has suggested that he will put these plans on hold to replace Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.

Rodgers has remained firm on the stance that will be in charge next season but Liverpool owners FSG are still yet to confirm his future.

Rodgers has been under a lot of pressure after a disappointing season which ended with a 6-1 defeat at Stoke. The Reds failed to win a trophy yet again despite reaching two Semi-Finals, and they also finished out of the top-four, meaning no Champions League football next season.

Klopp’s Future

German newspaper Bild’s said this about the speculation of a sabbatical; “I am not tired. I may look tired but I am not. I am 0.0% tired,” he said.

“I haven’t had any contact with any other clubs but I am not planning a sabbatical.”

As for Klopp, he announced his plans to leave Dortmund earlier this year, and he is ready to take over a new job right away.
