Lukas Jutkiewicz is aiming to end his goal drought on Sunday, as Burnley face Everton at home. The Lancashire Evening Telegraph reports.

Jutkiewicz, aged 25 has failed to find the net so far in his brief spell at Burnley to date since his ÂŁ1.5 million move from Middlesbrough in the summer, and faces his former employers Everton, in the Premier League fixture at Turf Moor.

Burnley have yet to win a game upon their return to the top flight, with Jutkiewicz keen to get off the mark goal-scoring wise.

When asked if he wants to break his duck against Everton, the Southampton born striker stated:

“Not against Everton particularly.

“It would mean everything for me, no matter who we’re playing against.

“Obviously it’s been frustrating but I’ll keep trying to get in there.

“I’ve just got to keep trying to get in the right positions and hopefully the luck changes.

“It will be great to be able to get back out on the home pitch again and hopefully the fans can get behind us again.

“They were superb on Saturday all the way through, so hopefully we can put on a better performance for them.”

Jutkiewicz admitted that despite Burnley’s winless run, he believes the Clarets can turn it around sooner rather than later.

“Understandably it’s something that people are going to talk about,” Jutkiewicz said.

“It’s up to us to try to get that first win.

“The important thing is to rejuvenate and go again. We need to learn where we can get better and try to put that into the next performance.

“The Premier League is a massive test but it’s where you want to be and you want to test yourselves against the very best.
