The Old Lady planning for Massimiliano Allegri’s departure?

Juventus are reportedly interested in appointing Manuel Pellegrini as their next manager should Massimiliano Allegri leave the club to take over at Chelsea.

There could be a managerial merry-go-round over the summer, with both Manchester City and Chelsea from the Premier League changing their managers.

Pellegrini is leaving his post at the Etihad Stadium, in order to be replaced by Pep Guardiola, who is leaving Bayern Munich, and Chelsea will be looking for a permanent manager after Guus Hiddink leaves his role as interim.

Managerial Changes

Chelsea have been linked with appointing Pellegrini themselves, but it’s thought that their number-one target is the Juve boss after seeing him guide the Italian to a Serie A title and a Champions League final last season.

Should Allegri be persuaded to swap Turin for London, Juve will then look to appoint Pellegrini as their next manager ahead of next season.

Speaking about the manager’s future, Juve’s general director Beppe Marotta, was adamant that Allegri wouldn’t leave Juve just for the lucrative contract, but he is seemingly putting plans into place just in case a managerial switch does happen.
