Juventus head chase Alves

Juventus are set to offer Daniel Alves a big wage in order to lure the Barcelona right-back to the club.

The 31 year-old’s contract runs out at the end of the season and it is rumoured that numerous teams are chasing his signature, with Manchester United leading the chase from the Premier League.

United aren’t the only English side interested in the Brazilian however, as Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all shown interest in his services over the past season.

He was a key member of the dominant Pep Guardiola side at Barcelona after arriving from Sevilla, but has found game time harder to come by under Luis Enrique this term. He has made just eight league appearances thus far, and with no new deal on the horizon it is likely the Brazilian is heading for the exit door.

The 79 times capped Brazilian would be a valuable asset for most European sides, and could be available for a nominal fee in January. But, it seems most clubs are prepared to wait out until the summer, where it is likely that Juventus will persuade the full-back to join the Italy giants, with a big wage packet.
