But Gunners warn off Italian giants
Arsenal have told Juventus to forget about signing Alexis Sanchez this month.
The Daily Mirror have claimed that Juve made contact with Arsenal recently in hope of getting the transfer sorted in this transfer window.
It was suggested they made a £60million bid for the Chilean, and a deal including midfielder Miralem Pjanic going the other way was also mentioned.
Juve are convinced they will be able to tempt Sanchez away from North-London.
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger still believes Sanchez will commit his future to the Gunners.
The Gunners have offered their star man a contract worth £180,000-a-week and are standing firm on not wanting to increase the wage offer, which may come back to haunt them as other clubs are willing to pay him much more.
The 28-year-old has been in stunning form, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists in the Premier League.
