The Forward has been heavily linked with the Turin side recently

Cristiano Ronaldo was a slow starter last term and was one of the main reasons why Real Madrid struggled in the first half of the season. Then he picked up the pace, scoring 41 goals and assisting 8 in 40 games during the 2017/2018 campaign.

The Portugal International helped the club to win their 3rd consecutive Champions League under manager Zinedine Zidane after beating Liverpool 3-1 back in May. But after winning the title, he cast doubts over his future by hinting that he could leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The 33 year old superstar spoke about the club in the past tense after that game when he said: “We will talk in the future. It’s been really beautiful to play for Real Madrid. I’ll give a response in the coming days.”

His desire to move on has left those in the Spanish capital stunned, with it finally sinking in at the Santiago Bernabeu that a five-time Ballon d’Or winner could be on his way.

There have strong rumours circulating this week that Juventus are keen to sign the Portuguese and are preparing a lucrative €120 million bid for him, with a four-year contract worth €30 million per season.

Former Turin side’s CEO Luciano Moggi even claimed that the Portuguese has already signed for the club adding more fire to the speculations. But no agreement has been pushed through yet.

The Serie A giants are eager to keep a lid on the transfer links and as a result, the Bianconeri have been compelled by the National Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange (CONSOB) to provide an update regarding their transfer activity.

“After the request from CONSOB related to the news published recently on media outlets, Juventus Football Club S.p.A is keen to remind that during the transfer season the club is evaluating several opportunities and will publish adequate information as prescribed by the law,” a statement released on the club’s official website read.
