According to the latest reports, Paulo Dybala has decided to stay at Juventus despite various reports linking him with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentine star struggled under Massimiliano Allegri last season, scoring only 5 goals in 33 appearances and failing to adapt to the magnetic presence of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Juve attacking lineup.
Many had predicted that Dybala would be off for greener pastures this summer but so far, no deal has been struck. Tottenham reportedly had expressed an interest in the 25-year-old and was even ready to break their transfer record with an £80m fee.
The Red Devils were thought to have prepared an exchange deal for Dybala for their unsettled striker, Romelu Lukaku. But both Premier League sides are yet to convince the player himself.
Dybala wants to reclaim his star status in Turin, especially under the new boss, Maurizio Sarri. By no means, will it be easy, given the number of midfield signings the Bianconeri has made over the past two seasons.
The central posts are brimming with the top tier talents like Miralem Pjanic, Aaron Ramsey, Emre Can, Frederico Bernardeschi, Rodrigo Bentancur, Adrien Rabiot – to name a few.
Juventus are expected to offload a few names but Dybala might not be included in that list. The Argentine is set to return for pre-season training after his involvement in the Copa America.
