Juventus turn to Liverpool and Arsenal target Pedro

Juventus are set to turn to Barcelona forward Pedro, as an alternative to Manchester United winger Juan Mata, reports the Daily Express.

The Italian side are set to pursue the unhappy Barcelona man as a potential signing ahead of Juan Mata, who they were previously linked with a bid for.

These new developments coming out of Turin will prove costly for both Arsenal and Liverpool, who had both expressed an interest in the Barcelona man in recent weeks.

Both Premier League sides spent big in the summer window, with Liverpool signing Mario Balotelli, and Arsenal Danny Welbeck respectively as they look to bolster their attacking options.

It is understood that Juventus are willing to match Barcelona’s asking price, with Spanish media suggesting that the player is unhappy at his role within the club, and could quit the Camp Nou in the January transfer window.

Juventus are also hopeful that should Pedro chose Italy over England in a proposed destination, then that could convince star players Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba to remain at the Old Lady.
