Juventus want to hijack Gunners’ Higuain transfer

Italian giants Juventus have identified the Argentine goal-scorer Gonzalo Higuain as a prime target to bolster their attacking options. However, with Arsenal pouncing for a possible deal, Juventus’s chances of capturing the 25 year old seem very low.

Nevertheless, the Turin-club refuses to rule out a possible twist in the transfer, as Juventus’ General Director Giuseppe Marotta told Sky Italia:

“Higuain? I do not want to say anything because there is still so much time left for things to happen.”

If Higuain does end in London, alternatives such as Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez and Fiorentina’s Jovetic have been on Juventus’ radar as well, but Marotta remained reluctant to comment on either player, insisting that “it would not be right to discuss them [because they are with other great clubs]”

“There is no hurry. I do not want to create an illusion that things are already in motion”
