Juventus wants to sign Douglas Costa on a permanent deal

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United

Douglas Costa joined Juventus from Bayern Munich on a 1 year loan deal until the end of the of 2017-2018 season. The club paid £7 million up front and have an agreement to make the deal permanent by paying an additional £33 million.

The Brazilian has been one of the standout players for the Italian club this campaign, scoring 7 goals and assisting 13 in 47 appearances and helping the team to win their 7th consecutive league title.

Serie A giants are expected to exercise their option to sign the 27 year on a permanent deal, Massimiliano Allegri is keen to keep him and the player has also admitted that he is happy in Turin.

But the Italian club are yet to make an official announcement whether they will sign him on a permanent basis. It is believed they are weighing up other options to find out which area needs reinforcements. They have made winning the Champions League next season as their priority and wants to strengthen the squad.

This led to speculations that the winger will move away this summer and Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for him. The club are expected to bolster their side in the transfer window after an underwhelming campaign.

The Red Devils have been a long term admirer of the Brazil International and is ready to make a big money move for him if the Turin side does not exercise their option to sign him on a permanent deal.

Juventus fully intend to complete a permanent deal for Costa this summer, claims Calciomercato, despite interest from United. They are very keen to keep him and and considers him unsalable.

United are said to be planning £80 million bid, but the Serie A champions will push through a prior agreement with Bayern Munich for the on-loan Brazilian.
