The midfielder will be a free agent when his contract expires with Arsenal

Jack Wilshere has announced that he will leave Arsenal after 17 years with the club, making 197 appearances for them. Though he agreed to sign a new contract on reduced terms.

His future at Emirates Stadium had been the subject of much conjecture throughout the previous season. He is set to become a free agent and will leave the Gunners when his contract will expire.

The England International, who has been at the club since 9, made it clear that his preferred option was to stay at his boyhood club even before Arsene Wenger retired. The Frenchman also expressed his desire to keep him at the club beyond this summer.

The 26 year old was offered a new deal but had to take a 25 per cent pay-cut on his £120,000-a-week wages and was prepared to take the pay cut. But he changed his mind after a meeting with the new manager Unai Emery as it was reported the he was concerned about his role under the former PSG boss.

The Spaniard offered him a bit part role in the upcoming season but he wanted first team football. He believes that if doesn’t play regularly then it will stagnate his career and decided to leave them.

Juventus are interested in signing Jack Wilshere after the midfielder confirmed he is leaving Arsenal, according to The Sun. They are willing to offer him £100,000-a-week and see him as a good investment as the midfielder will command a fee in the future.

The Turin side wants to strengthen their midfield even after signing Emre Can from Liverpool on a free transfer.

However, Everton, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Wolves all keen to keep him in the Premier League.
