Despite his impressive achievements at Stamford Bridge, including European glory, the German international says he has found a new sense of belonging in north London.

Havertz’s journey to the Premier League began with a record-breaking rise at Bayer Leverkusen, where he became the club’s youngest debutant and goalscorer.

His performances in Germany drew the attention of Europe’s top clubs, with Chelsea securing his signature in 2020 for £71 million.

While he delivered moments of brilliance at Stamford Bridge, including the decisive goal in the Champions League final against Manchester City, his overall form was inconsistent, netting 32 goals in 139 appearances.

In the summer of 2023, Havertz made a bold move, switching allegiances to Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal in a £65 million deal. Now, over a year into his time at the Emirates, the 25-year-old says the move was transformative.

“Joining Arsenal has been the best thing I’ve ever done,” Havertz shared in an interview with Sky Sports.

“I’ve only been here a short time, but it feels like home. The support from the fans, the staff, and my teammates has been incredible. It’s given me a new sense of confidence.”

Havertz’s form at Arsenal has been a work in progress, with 23 goals in 71 appearances. Still, his manager, Mikel Arteta, and teammates have consistently backed him, appreciating his versatility and work ethic.

Reflecting on the team’s journey, Havertz added, “Last season, we came so close to the title, and while this season has had its challenges, we’re fighting hard to stay in the race.

The Premier League gets tougher every year, but we’re ready for the challenge.”

With Arsenal back on track after a rough spell, Havertz is optimistic about the future.

“There’s so much potential in this team. I believe the next few years will bring success, and I’m determined to play my part in making it happen.”

For Havertz, the move to Arsenal isn’t just about trophies—it’s about finding a place to thrive.
