FT. Crystal Palace 0 – 1 Tottenham Hotspur.
Harry Kane has scored 14 goals in his past 13 league appearances in the month of February.
Harry Kane’s 89th-minute header snatched all three points for Tottenham against relegation-threatened London rivals Crystal Palace. Kane peeled away at the back post to head home Christian Eriksen’s corner just as it seemed Spurs were going to waste having almost 80% of the possession. Kane, who rose highest to loop his header over Hennessey to put it into the net! Remarkably, that’s his 35th goal of the season and the 150th in his club career.
Palace kept Spurs at bay nearly the whole match, but Harry Kane would prove to be their undoing with his 88th-minute winner. A deserved victory for Tottenham in the end.
England striker Kane had earlier been unusually wasteful in front of goal for the visitors with close-range misses at the start of both halves.
Spurs moved up one place in the table after recording a 15th consecutive win in all competitions, although Chelsea can regain fourth place with victory against Manchester United later in the afternoon.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs remain the only side yet to lose in the Premier League in 2018, although this was only a third league win in their past 10 games.
Defeat leaves Palace 17th, level on points with 18th-placed Swansea.
