Stamford Bridge the preferred option for midfielder

Leicester City star N’Golo Kante will reject a new contract offer with the Premier League champions, in favour of a switch to Chelsea.

Leicester are desperate to keep their midfield force after he became of the breakthrough players of last season, but a ÂŁ20million release clause in the Frenchman’s contract complicates matters for the Foxes.

There are a list of clubs interested in Kante, with domestic interest coming from Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and of course, Chelsea.

Interest from European giants such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus is also said to be there.

The Telegraph are claiming that Kante would prefer a switch to West-London, where he would work with current Italy coach Antonio Conte. Conte is keen on bringing Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan to the club from Roma, but could turn his attentions to Kante should he need a plan B.

Leicester are thought to have offered Kante a deal worth around ÂŁ100,000 per week to stay with the English champions, but at the moment Kante is leaning towards a move away, although he will be deciding his future properly after his involvement with France at Euro 2016 has concluded.
