Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in Frenchman

Real Madrid star Karim Benzema won’t force a move away from the club, according to the striker’s agent.

The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer, with Arsenal in pole position to land him with Arsene Wenger a huge admirer of the former-Lyon star.

Wenger’s interest in Benzema

Wenger has been tracking Benzema since his Ligue 1 days, but after he completed a move to Madrid, it looked likes the Arsenal boss was never going to get to work with the 27-year-old.

However, with reports suggesting that he could leave La Liga this summer, Wenger is desperate to bring him to the Emirates Stadium and is prepared to break the club’s record transfer fee.

The Gunners recently spent ÂŁ42million on Mesut Ozil, but according to reports, Wenger could be prepared to spend around ÂŁ45m on the striker.

Despite all the speculation and talk, it’s all been quiet at Benzema and Madrid’s end, however, his agent has recently discussed the transfer saga and has confirmed that his client won’t force a move away from the Bernabeu.

Agent Discusses Saga

“Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent,” Djaziri told Sky Sports.

“Karim is not looking to move anywhere this summer.”

These quotes from the striker’s agent will come as a huge blow to Arsenal and Wenger as he looks to strengthen his sides attacking options for the 2015/2016 campaign.
