Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois is set to miss the fixture with Manchester United this afternoon.
Het Laatste Nieuws journalist Kristof Terreur revealed on Twitter that it is believed the player suffered an injury in training and therefore hasn’t travelled with the Blues squad to Old Trafford today.
This will come as a huge blow to the Premier League leaders who had their lead at the top cut to 4 points by Tottenham yesterday, as they beat Bournemouth at White Hart Lane. A win for United today would cement that smaller gap and help Spurs apply pressure on the Blues as we go into the final few weeks of the season.
It is expected that Asmir Begovic will step into the team to cover for Courtois today.
