Real Madrid custodian Keylor Navas spoke about his future following the arrival of Thibaut Courtois at the club. Real Madrid signed Courtois as a part of a swap deal that saw Mateo Kovacic going the other way. The Belgian signed a 6-year deal with Los Blancos.

Keylor Navas came to Real Madrid from Levante in 2014 and has spent four seasons with the club so far. The Costa Rican has played 141 matches for the club, helping them win three successive Champions League titles.

However, the arrival of World Cup Golden Glove winner Thibaut Courtois puts Navas’ future at the Santiago Bernabeu in jeopardy. Nevertheless, Navas said that he will stay at Madrid.

The 31-year old said, “Of course, and I say this with force, I have the same desire to leave that I have to die.”

Keylor Navas and Thibaut Courtois both are among the best goalkeepers in the world at present and it will be interesting to see who gets the first team nod this season.
