Keylor Navas talks about Real Madrid future

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has said that he will leave the club only if manager Zinedine Zidane tells him to do so. Navas who played a huge role in Real’s recent successes, has played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois. The Costa rica international has made only 16 appearances for Los Blancos this season. Navas made only his 5th start of the season last night against Valencia. Real Madrid lost the game 2-1.

Following the match, when asked about his future, Navas replied, “If the coach tells me to go, that’s what I’m going to do. But I have a contract and my present is at Real Madrid. I will always try to give my best and convince the coach that I should play. I have a contract and I want to be here, but let’s see what happens. Let’s focus on finishing the season well. We have to, for the honour of the badge, go out and win the remaining [eight] matches.”

Real Madrid are now third in the La Liga table, 5 points behind Atletico Madrid. Unless Atletico Madrid slip up, in their remaining games, it seems that Zinedine Zidane’s boys will end a second successive season in third position in the La Liga. Real’s next match is in Satuday against Eibar.
