Real Madrid star Sami Khedira has reportedly dropped his wage demands to £134,000-a-week in a last-ditch bid to make his Arsenal move go through. The Gunners have been in talks with the midfielder and his club for the past few weeks, in the hopes of getting a summer move done.

The deal had begun to stall due to Khedira’s £150,000-a-week wage demands and it looked as if the transfer may have been off. However, with the deal close to collapse and Arsene Wenger looking at other targets, reports have now emerged that the midfielder has changed his terms.

According to La Sexta journalist Jose Luis Sanchez, the German has lowered his wage demands to £134,000-a-week to try and get the deal done. The reporter also says that if a deal can’t be agreed, then Khedira will sit out the next 12 months of his contract and join Arsenal on a free transfer next summer instead.

With that in mind, it looks like the Gunners could finally be set to sign their man.
