Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has opened up his options when he departs the Santiago Bernabeu this summer on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old has strongly been linked with a return to his native country with Schalke 04, who he helped knock out of the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
However, a move to the Premier League is not off the cards.
“Am I open to Schalke?” Khedira responded, when questioned about his future by the press.
“I am open to many teams.”
This will be a big boost for Arsene Wenger, who is also eyeing Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, in a bid for a srrong title challenge next season.
Wenger has been a long-term admirer of the midfielder’s qualities and could finally get ahold of the Real man’s services for nothing. However, there is undoubtedly going to be further interest from other European giants.
