Georginio Wijnaldum has said that Jurgen Klopp is making Liverpool players keep their feet on the ground.

The Reds are currently on the top of the Premier League table and are set to end the year on a high.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has said that manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping the Liverpool players grounded amidst their great run in the Premier League this season. The Reds are currently on the top of the Premier League and are set to take on Arsenal in their last match of the year, looking to finish it on a high with a win over the north London side.

Liverpool are the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this season and Wijnaldum has credited their German gaffer for their immaculate performance. He said, “If you are maybe less focused than normal, then you have a manager in Jurgen who will tell you directly that there is no space for doing less or enjoying things too much. He says keep both feet on the ground.”

The Reds midfielder also added, “When we played Wolves away (the Friday before Christmas) a lot of the players didn’t even know who City or Tottenham were playing. We were just focused on our own game and trying to get the most out of that one. That is why it goes so well.”

Klopp’s men have a six-point gap with second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and are looking destined to dethrone the reigning champions Manchester City if they can keep the tempo up in the second half of the season as well.
