Klopp makes Bundesliga midfielder his priority!

With Philippe Coutinho gone to Barcelona, Liverpool are in search of a replacement.

According to reports, Jurgen Klopp wants to replace the Brazilian this month and has identified a number of targets. But he has now made Schalke’s Leon Goretzka his number 1 priority.

It was reported last week that Bayern Munich are close to an agreement with the 22-year-old. He is set to join the Bundesliga champions on a free transfer once his contract expires at the end of the season.

However, Liverpool are in contact with the player and they will try to persuade him to join the Reds.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Thomas Lemar, but it seems that they are not going to carry on with the pursuit.

The Reds tried to sign him in the summer but Monaco rejected the offer. The Ligue 1 champions also stated that they won’t allow him to leave in January.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also linked with a move for Kevin Strootman of Roma.
