Liverpool have set their sights on signing Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer, according to recent reports.
The 26-year-old has made a terrific start to his career on the Welsh south-coast, scoring three in his first four games. As an obvious result, his brilliant form has caight the eye of a few big name clubs, one of which is Klopp’s Liverpool.
Earlier this summer, Fer signed for the Swans in a £4.7m deal from London club QPR, but his time there could be short lived as Liverpool are ready to pounce in January when the window reopens.
The midfield powerhouse was a key focal point in Swansea’s 2-2 draw with Conte’s Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, scoring a debatable goal in the 62nd minute before Diego Costa brought the game to a draw with a late equaliser.
Where would he fit in?
Liverpool have a competitive midfield and is currently unclear where Fer would fit. However, his current performance have shown that he has a fantastic amount of ability and could well be at the point in his career to step up to a quality side.
