Manager plans break from football

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed he will not join any clubs in the summer after he has confirmed that he is taking a break from management.

The news means that Brendan Rodgers’ job as manager of Liverpool is safe after Klopp silenced speculation in him taking over at Anfield.

The 47-year-old confirmed earlier this year that he would leave the Westfalenstadion when the Bundesliga season came to a close.

The former Dortmund boss has been linked with moves to big clubs in Europe including Real Madrid and Liverpool.

The Reds owners are keen admirers of the German and have tried their best to bring the much wanted manager to Anfield to replace Brendan Rodgers, who has yet to win a trophy in his three years with the Merseyside club.

Klopp Reveals Break

Klopp revealed that he will not join any club as he is taking a break from management, he said: “I will take a break until further notice.

“After seven intense and emotional years of ‘Real Love’ [BVB’s slogan], I consider it sensible to process all these memories until I’m fresh and full of motivation to take on a new task, together with my team.” he added.

He was one of the favourites to replace Carlo Ancelotti as boss of Spanish giants, Real Madrid after he took charge of the German giants in 2008.

Klopp was very successful in his time in Germany, winning six major trophies and leading Dortmund to the 2012/13 Champions League final.
