Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is to hold talks with Mario Balotelli over the forward’s future, according to reports in Italy.
Balotelli, aged 25, is currently out on loan with Serie A side AC Milan, having made just four appearances at the San Siro, so far this season.
Reports suggest that newly-appointed Klopp is keen to see the controversial striker return to Anfield, after Balotelli fell out of favour under former manager, Brendan Rodgers.
Klopp wants to see what Balotelli can bring to his beleaguered side, following Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Southampton.
The German hopes that he can man-manage Balotelli’s character, and is to set up a meeting with the players agent.
The Italian signed from AC Milan for £16m in the summer of 2014.
