‘Player regrets not signing massively’
It’s been revealed that Jurgen Klopp had an agreement in place to sign Kevin De Bruyne at Borussia Dortmund, and the player massively regrets not making the move.
De Bruyne has been on fire so far this season for Manchester City, but it could’ve been a very different story had Klopp managed to sign him in 2013 like he planned.
This is according to Journalist Kristof Terreur, who reports on all things Belgian.
Klopp had a plan in 2013: a Dortmund midfield with a.o. Gundogan & De Bruyne. The Belgian agreed personal terms. #CFC rejected a move. #MCFC

De Bruyne afterwards regretted not pushing for the Dortmund move. The only time in his career he didn't follow his gut feeling.

It’s ended up ok for De Bruyne, who, instead of going to Dortmund, ended up at Wolfsburg. There, he hit the ground running and earned a move to Manchester City in 2015 for ÂŁ60million. Now, he plays under Pep Guardiola, and his team are playing some very impressive stuff in the early days of this season’s title race.
