Kolo Toure takes swipe at Manchester City

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has taken a swipe at his former-club Manchester City by claiming they are fools for letting him leave the club this Summer.

The Ivorian has enjoyed a successful start to his Anfield career so far, becoming a crucial part in Brendan Rodgers’ back-line and he believes City were foolish to allow him to join their Premier League rivals.

Despite spending four years at the Etihad Stadium after moving there from Arsenal, Toure has lashed out at his former employers and has even said that he is miles better than a lot of the players that are still at the club.

‘I was better than certain players at Manchester City but I was left on the bench,’ said Toure, who has helped Liverpool to second in the Premier League.

‘Before I left the club I told the people in charge that they would regret letting me go. People said I was finished and that I could never get back to my former level.

‘But now I am at Liverpool and I am sure that City must be kicking themselves when they see how I am performing.’
