Roma needs to sell players to comply with FFP

Italian giants Roma may be forced to sell some of their key players this summer. Club’s CEO Mauro Baldissoni confirmed last week that they’d still have to sell players to comply with Financial Fair Play, despite this season’s European run.

One of the player’s could be Kostas Manolas. The defender arrived in Italy from Olympiacos in 2014 and has established himself as one of the Key player’s in the team’s defense.

The Greece International has been very impressive this season and helped his team to reach the Semi-finals of the Champions League, his header against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final helped his team to progress to the next round.

His form this season has attracted interest from top European clubs and the Serie A club may release the defender to meet the Financial Fair Play demands. The 26-year-old is one of their most valuable assets, and allowing him to leave could mean they hold on to the likes of Alisson.

According to Football Italia, Manolas’s agent has offered the player to Real Madrid. The agent knows that the La Liga giants are looking to bring a new central defender in the summer transfer window and thus deciding to offer the player to them.

But the Real Madrid will take some time to consider their options as he is not in their list of potential targets. But the club could move for him if there are no other alternatives in the market.
