Carlo Ancelotti has said that Kalidou Koulibaly is happy to stay at Napoli.

The player has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United this month.

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that Kalidou Koulibaly is happy to stay at the club. The player has been targeted by Premier League giants Manchester United and has been tipped to make a move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window. He has been in the headlines following his racial abuse by the opposition fans during Napoli’s match against Inter Milan. The Senegalese player has been reportedly looking to leave Italy following the abuse he faced and move to the Premier League.

However, the Napoli boss has denied that his defensive ace wants to move away from his current club. He said, “In England they write that Koulibaly can leave because of the problem of racism.”

He added, “I do not think so, Koulibaly is happy in Naples, he’s upset like others, but it will not be a trigger for a goodbye. He never showed it, he wants to stay in Naples and in Italy, a country he likes very much.”

The Senegalese international has been one of the players on the target list of former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, who wanted to bring him to Old Trafford during his regime. However, now with the above-mentioned statement coming from Ancelotti, it is to be seen whether the Red Devils drop their interest in Koulibaly or not.
