Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker has admitted that he is ready to move on and forget about the picture of him inhaling nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas, from a balloon during pre-season.
The picture was released to the public before England’s World Cup Qualifier with Ukraine and both Roy Hodgson and Andre Villas-Boas have confirmed that they are ready to forgive and forget, which is exactly what Walker wants.
The Spurs right-back has spoken to both club and country managers and has told them both that he won’t go near the substance again.
‘It’s all part and parcel of the job. You just have to deal with it,’ Walker said.
‘It has been a steep learning curve. I think people forget that I am young.
‘What’s done is done now and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season. It’s onwards and upwards now.’
