Kyle Walker wants top-four finish

Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker is hoping for a top-four finish this season after narrowly missing out on two occasions previously.

Spurs were pipped to fourth-place by Arsenal last season and the year before that, Chelsea won the Champions Leauge, which meant they took Tottenham’s place in the following season’s tournament.

This season, the White Hart Lane club are predicted big things, but a shock loss at home to West Ham United on Sunday has killed the mood in North London, but Walker is still hopeful of a top-four finish come May.

“It’s a bit too early to be talking about where we can be at the end,” Walker is quoted in The Sun.

“But if we keep playing to our strengths, then I see no reason we cannot make the top four.

“We’ve made a lot of changes to the squad during the summer. But everyone who has come in has fitted in really well. All the lads get along and that really helps.

“We’ve signed quality and the more we get used to playing as a team, the better we are going to get.”
