Kylian Mbappe’s departure seems inevitable after the comments he made recently.
The Frenchman said he was tired of the criticism he received at PSG and would like to try his luck elsewhere.
That could be a massive blow to PSG’s hopes of renewing his contract. Mbappe’s deal is set to run out after one more season. He is currently viewed as next in line to replace Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the very perch of the sport.
Mbappe’s services are badly wanted by both Liverpool and Real Madrid. Not many can even afford him. With just a year remaining, PSG will have little to no bargaining power when suitors come for him. Unless there’s a transfer battle he could leave Parc des Princes for a fee between €120m to €150m.
PSG won’t entertain the idea of letting him leave for free. Which means they have a very limited number of days to convince him into an extension. The season ends in May with the European Championships set to start in July. It would be in PSG’s best interest to conclude negotiations then or start listening to offers from other clubs.
