LA Galaxy insists that non of his marquee players will be leaving on loan deals this year despite receiving a loan offer for Landon Donovan from Everton. This is the third attempt from the toffees and they have been shot down again in their attempts to sign the striker. Donovan has played twice before on loan for Everton in the MLS breaks but wont be making a third visit this year. Many marquee stars from the MLS going on loan in Europe during the break such as now retired David Beckham, Robbie Keane & Thierry Henry.

This year LA Galaxy wont let any of the marquee players out on loan this year and will also not allow Omar Gonzalez leave on loan either.

LA Boss Bruce Arena said: “Our players aren’t going anywhere.”

“Even though we argue that the lay-off is going to be long, he [Gonzalez] can go in camp with the US national team in January, along with Landon Donovan. Our players had a really tough run this year, in particular Robbie & Omar with all their requirements with national teams. They’ve had a full 11 months of play and they need some time off and then they need to get back here in LA and be ready for a challenging campaign that includes in the beginning not only the league but the [CONCACAF] Champions League.”
