Atletico looking to pounce on unsettlement
Atletico Madrid are looking to take advantage of Alexis Sanchez’s unsettlement at Arsenal by making an offer for him this summer.
Contract talks between the Chile star and Arsenal have stalled, with Arsenal willing to offer him £200,000 per week but offers of double that coming in from China.
French champions PSG are also ready to make a £60million bid, who will also be able to better the wages Arsenal are offering.
El Grafico de Chile state that Atletico have made the 28-year-old their top choice for the summer, assuming they can get round the FIFA embargo which currently bans them from making a new signing this summer; Real Madrid have already successfully appealed against a similar restriction.
The future of their striker Antoine Griezmann is currently in doubt, with him being linked with a move to Manchester United.
However, whether as a partner or replacement for Griezmann, Simeone has made it clear he’s interested in the Arsenal star man this summer.
