The in-form Reds forward is set to officially commit his long-term future at Anfield

Adam Lallana has agreed a new four-year deal at Liverpool which will keep him at the club until at least 2021.

The Reds forward will be amongst the club’s top earners, alongside James Milner and Daniel Sturridge, with only Philippe Coutinho’s new deal bettering the England international’s fresh ÂŁ120,000-a-week deal.

Lallana has enjoyed a fine campaign under Jurgen Klopp, who is in his first full season in management at Anfield, and the Reds have been keen to tie him down to a new deal.

Both Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham were interested in the 28-year-old, however, Liverpool are now happy to have finally tied down a key asset to a new deal – putting to bed any fears he could be tempted away by offers from elsewhere.

Patrick Kluivert, PSG’s director of football, had been keeping tabs on Lallana, with the intention of making a move in the summer.

Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wanted to reunite with his former Southampton star at White Hart Lane.

Lallana is currently just two goals short of his best Premier League goal tally of nine, with 16 games remaining to exceed that number.
