Wanted Southampton star Adam Lallana has told the club he wants to move on when he returns from the World Cup in Brazil.
It is understood that the player has not handed in a transfer request but has verbally made his feelings known this week.
Liverpool have lodged a £25 million pound bid for the midfielder and have recently signed forward Rickie Lambert from the Saints.
With Manchester United’s move for Luke Shaw still on, Lallana is keen to follow his team mates and move to a new club, which is likely to be Liverpool.
Southampton have stated that no players will be sold until a new manager has filled the gap left by Mauricio Pochettino.
