Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will join Manchester City’s franchise club New York City now that his World Cup is over.
Lampard will join up with David Villa in january, as he plans to stay fit by training with Chelsea from which where he was released at the end of last season.
This decision also suggests that the midfielder will call time on his international duties with England.
New York City have also captured Spanish striker David Villa, and it is understood that Lampard is looking forward to the opportunity of linking up with the deadly striker next season.
