Reports from France are claiming Ezequiel Lavezzi will not be allowed to leave PSG this month. Liverpool were one of a host of sides all keen on signing him this month.
However, any hopes of a deal being done this month have been quashed with reports claiming PSG want to hold onto him until the end of the season and then let him go in the summer. Club officials don’t believe they could fetch anywhere near to the £30m they paid for him and they also don’t believe they could use the funds to find a suitable replacement in time either.
PSG also reportedly spoke to Inter about a potential deal on Tuesday when the two faced each other in a friendly and the Italian club were told to look elsewhere as Lavezzi was staying for the time-being. It’s yet another blow to Liverpool, who are hoping to recruit a striker this month in their hunt for more goals.
