Lazar Markovic looks set to become Brendan Rodgers’ fourth summer signing as the Serbian has reportedly flown to Merseyside to complete a medical ahead of a propossed £19.8 million move to the Premier League runners up.
The winger took to Facebook to thank Benfica and the fans for their support and to also say his goodbye’s to the club he joined around a year ago. The post said, ‘Thank you for everything and goodbye!’ The playmaker was seen at Porto Aeroporto on Saturday morning, reportedly bording a plain to Merseyside.
The young winger was part of an impressive forward line for Benfica last season as the club won a domestic treble and also the club made it to the Europa league final.
